About
Institutional history & heritage
Sahitya Chautari Sanskritik Pratishthan Nepal was established in 2056 B.S. in Birtamode, Jhapa. The institution remains dedicated to preserving and promoting Nepali literature, indigenous music, and cultural consciousness.
It was founded by Devi Bhakta Shrestha (देविभक्त श्रेष्ठ) and Urmila Bimali Shrestha (उर्मिला बिमली श्रेष्ठ) . After more than two decades of service, the institution has been celebrating its Silver Jubilee — through Bhanu Jayanti, souvenir publications, and honouring cross-border Nepali creators.
Notable publications include the Silver Jubilee Souvenir and Souvenirs Vol. I & II. By honouring dozens of Nepal–India Nepali creators, the institution has built a bridge of linguistic and cultural unity.
